The Captains’ Hideout offered a VIP area for captains and their crew.

The Captains' Hideout was launched with a Dockwalk Happy Hour for professional superyacht captains and crew at Fusion restaurant above Stars ‘N' Bars on Monday 21 st September 2009 at 7pm.

The annual social night organized by the Monaco Yacht Show in honor of the captains and first officers of exhibiting yachts and also attended by luxury yachting sector clients participating in the Monaco Yacht Show (approx. 400 people). A convivial function held in association with The Yacht Report media group, Ascoma Maritime and Informa Yacht Group.

Every year, the Design Prize awards a yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show of which the design is the most innovative, the greatest and the most distinguished.

PRIX DU DESIGN NYMPHENBURG/MONACO YACHT SHOW 2009 was awarded on and to the motor yacht SLIPSTREAM from the CMN Yachts Shipyard for its contemporary but elegant design, realized by Andrew Winch Designs.

In association with the Monaco Yacht Show, the RINA society delivered the Green Star Plus Award 2009 to the yachts of which the construction assures compliance with the strictest environmental regulations.

This year, the Italian shipyard RODRIQUEZ CANTIERI NAVALI was awarded for OCEAN EMERALD (Motor Yacht 2009).

Auction in aid of the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies charity. The funds raised by auctioning unique timepieces created by leading watch brands help finance research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

This auction under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II took place on Thursday September 24, 2009 in the Restaurant Lounge inside the Monaco Yacht Show exhibition site.

The Red Arrows

A display by the Red Arrows was the highlight of the celebration of British Excellence in the superyacht industry again at this year Monaco Yacht Show.

The show took place on Thursday 24th September outside the breakwater to the harbour from 2.30pm for everyone to enjoy.

This year, the British aerobatic team notably partnered with Yacht Carbon Offset to have certified a Carbon Offset to balance the estimated greenhouse gas emissions during the display.
